Some people become very ill from a cytokine storm, causing severe inflammation and organ failure. These symptoms are similar to known adverse reactions to the Covid vaccine. Since most people are vaccinated, there may be a connection. The situations around these cases are also unclear.

So, hantavirus was not detected through cell cultures, but rather through a PCR test, which is not a definitive diagnostic tool.

Here is a reminder of what a PCR test is: The main problem with the use of such a sensitive test is that it can easily become contaminated. Because the technique is specific and only a few people truly understand it, testing companies sometimes hire individuals with little or no training to collect samples and perform the tests. Keep in mind that RT-PCR can detect even a single RNA molecule. This means that every step, from taking the sample to performing the test, must occur in a sterile environment to prevent contamination, which is clearly not always possible.

DNA is practically everywhere and can also affect sample sensitivity. Even though DNA is not what the test is looking for, it may still interfere with the results.
