A paper in the journal Cells examines how components of COVID vaccines affect distant organs. The study, titled “Detection of Vaccine-Derived Spike Protein Associated with Immune Cell Infiltration in the Heart and Liver: A Report of Two Cases,” looks closely at the cellular processes linked to serious side effects after vaccination.
It tracks the exact path of COVID vaccine components in two specific post-mortem cases.
In both cases studied, tissue samples showed the vaccine-derived spike protein inside the cells of the affected organs. This was linked to a buildup of immune cells, suggesting an inflammatory response in the area.
Case Breakdown: Heart and Liver Pathology
The study outlines how the presence of vaccine-derived spike protein correlated directly with localized, aggressive immune responses.
Case 1: The Heart (Inflammation of the Heart Muscle)
In the first case, the vaccine’s spike protein ended up inside the cells of the heart muscle. The body’s immune system spotted these spike proteins, mistook the healthy heart cells for dangerous invaders, and launched a direct attack against them. This caused severe heart inflammation (known as myocarditis).
When immune cells swarm the heart like this, they destroy healthy tissue. This disrupts the heart in two main ways:
- Short-Circuiting the Wiring (Electrical Issues): The intense inflammation can interfere with the heart’s natural electrical signals. This can trigger a sudden, dangerous, and erratic heartbeat (an arrhythmia).
- Weakening the Pump (Physical Failure): If too many heart muscle cells are damaged, the heart loses the physical strength it needs to push blood through the body, leading to sudden heart failure.
Case 2: The Liver (Autoimmune-Like Inflammation)
In the second case, the spike protein was found embedded inside the liver. Just like in the heart, the immune system flooded the liver with defense cells to attack the area. The resulting damage looked identical to a severe reaction to a toxic drug or an autoimmune disease (where the body mistakenly attacks its own organs).
The liver relies on specialized cells to filter out toxins, clean the blood, and process nutrients. The immune attack damaged the liver in two steps:
- Destroying the “Worker” Cells: The aggressive immune response directly targeted and killed the vital liver cells that do the organ’s daily heavy lifting.
- Total System Shutdown: When too many of these filtering cells are destroyed all at once, the liver can no longer clean the blood, causing the organ to give out completely.
The Proposed Biological Pathway
Based on these tissue samples, the authors outline a step-by-step mechanism for how these off-target reactions happen:
- Systemic Distribution: While mRNA vaccines are designed to stay primarily in the local muscle tissue of the arm, the lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) carrying the mRNA can escape into the lymphatic system and bloodstream.
- Off-Target Translation: Once floating systemically, these LNPs can be absorbed by endothelial cells (the cells lining the blood vessels) and somatic cells in major organs like the heart and liver. These cells then begin manufacturing the spike protein.
- Immune Mimicry & Attack: Because the host cells are now displaying a foreign viral protein on their outer membranes, the body’s immune system deploys defensive cells to destroy them. This self-directed attack leads to localized tissue damage and acute inflammation.
Common Patterns Found Across the Research
When looking at this study alongside similar peer-reviewed autopsy reports, four clear patterns emerge:
- Protein Build-up in Blood Vessels: The vaccine-derived spike protein frequently clusters inside the delicate lining of tiny blood vessels and capillaries. This localized accumulation can trigger irritation, inflammation, and raise the risk of clotting in that specific area.
- A Misdirected Immune Attack: The tissue damage isn’t usually caused by the spike protein acting as a direct poison. Instead, when healthy cells absorb the vaccine material and display the spike protein on their surface, the body’s immune system (specifically T-cells) flags them as “infected” and attacks them, causing localized injury.
- A Perfect Match with Heart Scans (MRI): What scientists see under the microscope in these autopsies matches exactly what doctors see on heart scans (Cardiac MRIs) in living patients suffering from vaccine reactions—specifically, clear signs of fluid swelling and localized tissue scarring.

My Two Cents: A Biologist’s Perspective
This study supports what I and other scientists have predicted: when these genetic components spread throughout the body, almost any cell can start producing the spike protein. When this occurs, the healthy cell is marked as a foreign invader and is attacked by the immune system. This process aligns well with another recent study I discussed here.
This is clear evidence that vaccine-derived components can remain in tissues and circulation, which raises serious biological questions about the safety of the current blood and organ donation pool. Denying patients the right to bank their own blood (through autologous transfusion or cell salvage) or to receive directed donations from trusted family and friends strips away a fundamental right. It directly violates the core principle of bodily autonomy: my body, my choice.
How much more data do we need to see before these risks are openly acknowledged?
