The name of these heavenly tasting bread rolls is Fast Breads Dobrudzanki Бързи Питки Добрудванки named after Dobrudzha region of Bulgaria. Easy to make, will keep you full the whole day and suitable for any time of the day. If made smaller are wonderful party snack.
-> 1 cup of yogurt
-> 1 cup of crumbled feta cheese
-> 1 teaspoon of baking soda
-> Pinch of salt
-> 2 1/2 – 3 cups of flour (depending on the yogurt fat content you could need a bit less or more)
–> A bit of butter for the top
Mix the yogurt with the baking soda, add the cheese, salt, and flour. Make a soft bread dough. Divide into 4 -5 balls. Put a bit of butter on the top. Bake at 200 °C (~ 390 °F) until golden (about 20 minutes). Be patient and don’t eat immediately because may get burnt. I sometimes put inside grated gouda cheese with the feta. The most important is to keep the amount of cheese and yogurt equal. Also baking soda needs to be dissolved well in the yogurt. Some grated yellow cheese (gouda, cheddar) would make the breads even better. Put also some on the top as well.
